We negotiated the pay and terms already. I just got the job offer letter today and found out they changed the salary on it! On top of that these frugal people decided to add in a point system. This is a f***ing joke! How bad can a company get? I just sent an e-mail to decline their offer.

Here's their BULLs*** Point System:

Points/requirements

3 Meet with investors and must submit the prospecting sheet
1 10 cold call and turn in the PROSPECTING SHEET
send out 100 new email. must forward your email to hr@Cp.com

2 Bring one accredit investors to company hosted seminar
5 Presentation to a group (minimum 5 investors)of investor
5 Co presentation with other organization, association, club ect.
5 Attend one social event and collect at least 10 business card
-2 each 5minutes late
4 write a marketing paper and can be published on the news paper
-30 One day leave without any business performance

Monthly Total Points
In order to receive your full base pay, each finder must achieve 100Points/month, Otherwise, can only receive the same percentage of your completed work.
For example, your base pay is $800, and you earned 50points, then your base pay is $400.

You should have read the fine print. Oh well. Get over it. Everyone screws each other over. Business is business.

I just wanted to say, this happened ALL without me having to respond and chime in on the rant.

Could you just imagine with my big ego in the room, that this argument or mild attempt to debate below would be at least four times longer than it is now. And would be more awesome and hilarious to read by far with me in it rather than out of it.

To the OP: I can relate to working for a Chinese company. @#$% I'm trying to get out so badly right now.

Ames. Excuse me? What do you mean by that?

I'm a lot full of myself.

+1
Ames commented on this rant 1 year, 4 months ago.

No, I think A lil is the right phrase here. Because if you were a lot, You would have gone on to give your two cents to every argument in this thread, and them some...=D

But its ok, young padawan, You will, in time, learn what it means to be 'a lot full' of oneself...=)

Yeah, damn Chinese bastards!

+3
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

It's very short sighted of you to generalize. People like you and OP perpetuate stigmas placed on certain ethnic and cultural groups. All kinds of people in general, screw other people over - Not just the Chinese, or Indians, or Italians, or Jews, etc. Duh.

Very short sighted, and perhaps, also very bastardly of you, at that.

+1
Jasper commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

I was being ironic. I'm a full-blooded Chinese dude.

Edit: I also agree with you on the OP being a generalizing bastard. Ethnicity has nothing to do with how well a company is run. By his logic, I can rightfully say that all Americans are fat, lazy, bumf***s that deserve to be wiped off the face of the Earth for their arrogant ways, just because I was literally crushed on my flight to San Francisco by the fatass mother f***er who was sitting next to me when he shoulda bought two seat tickets. =P

+2
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

That's not "ironic"

And it's not okay to think that you can say something like that about Chinese people just because you're Chinese. It's the same thinking that blacks have when they call each other the "N" word, when such a word is so derogatory and their ancestors fought so hard, bled so hard, to be freed from such racially charged words.

0
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

Or perhaps they bled and and fought so hard to be free from slavery, but they wear the racial slurs as badges of honor to rub it in the white man's face. Kind of how Americans played Yankee Doodle during war time when it was initially created by the British to mock the colonies.

+2
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

If so, why did the most prominent African American leaders proclaim how defamatory it was? And it sure still is. Go out on the street and call a black man the "N" word. It's not very welcome.

It was only around the time that Tupac chose to tattoo the "N" word across his chest that it became such a popular word amongst the youth. Still though, that doesn't take away the history and chaos that that word carries with it. It's still there.

It's just ignorance that blacks today call each other the "N" word, and Chinese people think it's okay to call each other "Chinks" etc...

Jasper commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

Alright. I'll shut my mouth and never say anything sarcastically ever for fear of SOMEONE on the internet getting offended by my OVERLY harsh words. Wow. Really now. You are f***ing pathetic if you get your panties all bunched up just because I said a little line that isn't even offensive or derogatory. It's not even racist for Christ's sake.

I'm sick of people needing to be politically correct. "Their ancestors fought so hard, bled so hard, to be freed from such radically charged words." *Golfclap* Damn man, you really know how to make speeches there. Discrimination isn't cured because people refrain from saying certain words, it's just masked and disguised so that it's even more difficult to clean it out of society. You can't solve a problem by avoiding it; just because someone decides against saying "n*****" because it might offend their next-door neighbor isn't going to change how they REALLY feel about African Americans.

So cut the bulls*** and stop acting all high and mighty.

+3
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

Very classy.

NOT.

I think you are the one getting your panties bunched up because you can't even defend yourself without throwing out a bunch of vulgarity. As for me, I'm here... calm, collected. Unlike you. :p

If you're going to lose an argument, the least you can do for yourself is to lose with eloquence and integrity.

:)

PS: Discrimination isn't cured by perpetuating such stigmas and contributing with discriminatory language. Discrimination is cured when its existence is acknowledged and then making a change -- change usually begins with oneself.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa... Jasper has panties?

+2
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

Probably. But maybe not. He has too foul a mouth, and too little eloquence to be even remotely close to being a woman.

:p

I_Agree commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

Wow, somehow this turned into a war. I personally hold the belief that you are allowed to criticize your own ethnicity.

It's offending when someone outside of your ethnic group does the criticizing, because it's an example of ignorance. They simply can never completely understand or know how it's like, because their ethnically different.

However, the argument about ignorance is thrown out the window as soon as someone criticizes their own ethnicity. It becomes more legitimate.

+2
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

How is it legitimate? How is it even logical?

*In a "manly" voice*
"Hey man, I can call you "N" -- it's a sign of my compassion and it's a sign of our brotherhood -- it's okay man, because our ancestors got the shiz beat out of them so that we wouldn't have to be called "N"... But you know what? FUDGE THEM! FUDGE ALL THAT CRAP THEY WENT THROUGH! I'm going to call you N anyway! We, of all people, will call each other N!"

That is BS, and one of the most unsound and ignorant logical reasonings I've ever come across.

The very fact that you are allowed to criticize your own ethnicity but it's not okay for others is discriminatory and segregation-promoting in itself.

+1
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

How about we all just agree to disagree on this one? ;-)

+1
Jasper commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

A word only has as much meaning as you personally ascribe to it.

And no, people CAN criticize their own ethnicity. I have every right to assert that almost ALL the Chinese people that I know are very loud people. Chinese people have a tendency to argue with each other. You know how I know this? By living with them for months at a time, as well as socializing with a very large number of Chinese people outside of my family. From my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, I can say that they are loud. It's called observation. There's a damned reason stereotypes exist. It's because there's a grain of truth behind every single one.

Does that mean I'm going to judge Chinese people I meet in the future to be exactly the same? No. I'll treat them just as if I've never known them. But it doesn't mean I won't be prepared to deal with some loud-mouthing from them.

Oh, and I never used any racial slurs, nor did I even judge the Chinese race. You took it way out of proportion. "Bastard" is hardly derogatory. It doesn't even make sense as an insult towards an entire RACE when taken literally.

This makes no sense to me.

+1
Ames commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

I amended my wording at the end to clarify what I meant. I think thats where the main problem comes from.

+1
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

Wait a minute, did you just agree with everybody?

+2
Ames commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

No. Not entirely. I just think that the anon that commented on Jasper's "bastard" comment blew it all out of proportion by comparing it to the "N" word. I understand where anon comes from, but Its not like Jasper was using a cultural derogatory term. And I think this is where the big difference comes from. Yes He generalized it too much, but frankly many people end up doing so.

+1
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

That wasn't even the initial argument. The initial argument was about it not being okay to call one's own race names when it's not okay for others to name-call a race that is not their own -- regardless of what the name is whether it be culturally derogatory or simply derogatory.

Again, in case you missed anon's initial argument: "...it's not okay to think that you can say something like that about Chinese people just because you're Chinese." That argument gives no specific indication of whether the name-calling is culturally derogatory or just plain derogatory.

From then on, the discussion branched and new arguments can stem from them. Regardless, that was anon's initial argument -- NOTHING to do with comparing "bastards" to the "N" word. The following example about blacks calling each other "N" was just another way of showing similar thought processes of "it's okay to call our own race names but not okay for others to call us those names."

If everyone had their own definition of "wrong" then there would be no such thing as "wrong"

We have a sense of what is "wrong" to begin with because there is a standard out there, beyond our comprehension, that we somehow compare what is "wrong" and what is "right" to.

+3
I_Agree commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

I don't know, but I agree with Ames.

+1
I_Agree commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

How did that expression come to exist anyway? "Panties bunched up" doesn't make any sense to me.

Oh, you silly English speaking humanoids.

+1
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

You would have to be a girl to understand how irritating and painful having your panties bunched up is. And that, is where the expression comes from.

Sorry for my ignorance but I'm a girl and I have no idea what you meant by having your panties all bunched up.

+1
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

Then I guess you are one of the lucky ones. Or you just don't want to admit it.

+1
Jasper commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

It's how I speak. Shoot me. I can also hold a conversation at a very high level vocabulary, would you like me to do that? I can even show you some writing pieces to prove I'm not a moron simply because I choose to speak DIFFERENTLY from you. It doesn't matter the language so long as the point is communicated.

Anyway,

"Discrimination is cured when its existence is acknowledged and then making a change -- change usually begins with oneself."

You definitely need to give yourself a pat on the back for that statement. A statement that is an overly ostentatious way of repeating exactly what I said. Good job.

+2
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

*BANG*

+1
I_Agree commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

This is kind of true. Refraining from speaking the word doesn't change how the person feels about someone else. It may be a show of some level of respect or politeness, but it doesn't quite change how they feel deep down.

+1
anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

That is irrelevant to anon's initial argument, "...it's not okay to think that you can say something like that about Chinese people just because you're Chinese."

Anon gave no indication of refuting such a statement by Jasper.

anonymous commented on this rant 1 year, 5 months ago.

OP is just ticked off. I would be too if that happened to me. But then again, I can't see an American company doing that. =D
